They knows what in them.....because all ammo shipments have a black sticker that identfies them as ordinence.

Wont have no problems with packages going missing thats for certain:biggrin:

Not to mention the weight, but NOT all packages are identified. I had a 1K case of 308 delivered about 30 days ago and the UPS guy asked, "WTF is in there", I replied, "Protection"... We both laughed because he understood what I was trying to say.:ok:

Try to give them cash for a COD shipment. They are even more shaken when they have to tell they don't accept it.

Carriers are not stupid. When I was getting a lot of silver delivered, the mailman grinned at me one day and said "Last time I delivered a box that heavy it was full of QUARTERS!" Later that same day the neighbor grinned at me over the fence and said "The mailman sure stops a lot at your place. You must have quite a collection of SOMETHING by now!"

Maybe you could rent a mail box at a UPS or Fedex store. Maybe that would help.

All shipments are classified by "UN" shipping codes.

http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita.../55-80/ch6.htm

Everything now has a UN code.

My response would have been: "Ooooh! I hope it's those 2008 statehood quarters! I only need Arizona and Alaska and Hawaii to complete my set!"

Course, I've been practicing my wide-eyed sheeple demeanor & can pull it off.

He was shaken because he was handling ammo? or because he thought you are a gun crazed militiaman?

The first time I had 2000 rounds delivered by UPS, the guy knocked on the door and asked if Rambo was home. I got a good laugh out of it...

For added security, you could request the ORM-D "Consumer commodity" label -- mainly so that the UPS guy, his uncle, and the guy casing the neighborhood won't be privy to what you have at home.

It depends on what he's into. He may have thought you meant a wholesale lot of condoms. Is he friendlier now?

I used to work at ups but I can't remember the training very well, but I believe things are labeled ORM-D because they are deemed to be potentially hazardous.

Sad to say but most carriers have issues with shipping beer. USPS won't FedX will give you a hard time, and UPS won't either IIRC.

I usually put beer in a box, and pack it well and label it food and beverages, non-perishable. lol

I was trying to send some homebrew to a buddy up North and found out how troublesome shipping beer really is.

Sad stuff.

It won't make a bit of difference what your delivery guy thinks of you. It's in a database and you know darn well who will access it if they want to.

BEWARE!!!

That would, in fact, work well, if everybody did it. But that won't happen. It's not even that everyone is a sheeple. But in most people it is very ingrained to follow the authority of law.

Unless things get real bad, real quick.
